RE: Time to motivate the BLAZERNATION.
There's already a strong push by the fan base to hire Ehsan. That said, I'd really question Ingram's abilities as a GM if he decided to promote Ehsan simply because the fans and players want him without even seeing who else is interested and taking the time to interview those that are. It's HIS job to make this decision. Let him do it.

I don't. I question him for not doing it. Not because the fans are asking. The guy is more than qualified. It's not like we are promoting the grad assistant. He is more qualified than some Ingram will bring in to interview. I know of two athletic directors (one former) that have said privately they would have elevated Rob immediately. If the guy wasn't qualified then yea. Do a drawn out search. He is more than qualified. There are other underlying reasons I am not going to state publicly as well. There are a lot of dinics in play. Take the fans out of it.

Ehsan also is the main reason we have the players on the team we have.
Riley was partly responsible as well.

Of course there are. Doomsday is always on the horizon in Blazerland, am I right? Ehsan is qualified for the job and he may be the best person for the job, but it would be shortsigted by Ingram if he didn't go through the process even if Ehsan does end up being the guy. Ehsan isn't the only qualified quality candidate for this job.

RE: Time to motivate the BLAZERNATION.
My initial reaction upon hearing Haase was leaving is I hope the promote Eshan and move on. I understand the reasons behind a "nationwide search" to see what interest is there but I think Eshan has the potential to be a great coach without having to build the next couple of years. Personally I always thought he was more valuable than Haase. Bottom line is if we go outside the current staff and lost a couple of players and recruits, it would take 2-3 years to get back on track. Keep Eshan to keep the team intact plus (as mentioned above) he has the potential to be a great coach. WIN-WIN

I don't know why you guys are panicking just because Ehsan wasn't promoted immediately. I'd say it would be premature and jumping the gun to promote him without feeling out our options.

RE: Time to motivate the BLAZERNATION.
I think Ehsan would be fine (but expect him to be short term as he's already been here 4 years and probably wants to move up to bigger and better) but there are so many other schools getting new coaches this year... are all their players saying they will leave if we dont get the coach we want? Are their schools having to move up assoc to keep their players happy? If they leave they cant play for Haase. So i think if Ehsan is the best coach then uab should hire him, but if he isnt.. be open to a different one. I would hope the players would support a good coach.

To be fair, I don't think that our players have said that either. They have offered up support for Ehsan being their new coach, but other than that, the idea that players would bolt if it doesn't happen seems to be nothing more than message board speculation at this point.
