Should be interesting to see what happens with Jeffery Simmons...

Already seeing a lot of excuses by the Elite Dawgs, but putting the rivalry aside...Mullen has to rid himself of this, no?

I think so, but unfortunately you can look at a lot of players across the country that have had an incident like this. Joe Mixon at Okalhoma, Demorea Stringfellow at OM, DeAndre Johnson wherever he ends up next year.

He be OK-just get Jameis Winston's lawyer. List is endless.

When you get that 5th star, you become untouchable.

No doubt - Mixon is a punk. I thought String hit a dude though - still wrong, but he WAS kicked off his team.

Unfortunately, Simmons was on camera and that almost always makes these things worse.

Should not even be a decision he has to make. The guy belongs behind bars...

However, if Mullen does have to make a decision, then absolutely yes he should be gone.

RE: Miss State 5* freshman beats up woman
Mullen finally makes a statement:

"To me, like any situation you get into, you evaluate all the details and research every aspect of it," Mullen told ESPN. "I want to see some of the police reports. There's so much more I want to evaluate with the situation before I make a decision about what's best for our program. The five seconds of video, I don't think there's anything appropriate in it. That's what everyone is looking at right now and I don't think Jeffery would say there's anything appropriate in that five seconds of video. I don't think I'd say there's anything appropriate in that five seconds of video you see. But looking at the bigger picture is where we're spending our time."

LMAO ... those 5 seconds were pretty bad, but let's not make any rash decisions here - we don't know the whole story. All we know is a 6'5" 280lb. man got on top of a woman and repeatedly punched her in the face for 4-5 seconds. I'm sorry...I just don't think that's enough evidence for me to decide "what's best for the program"...

Comical...

As comical as your statement that since Stringfellow was kicked off the team at UW it's ok that he plays for OM?

I don't care what your stance is, just be consistent.

Something about throwing stones and a glass house. We can go down the list on your roster if you'd like.

I understand that State is obsessed with "TSUN" but not every situation has to involve them. This is your mess.

You started this thread and continue to comment. Again, I don't care what your stance is about MSU taking Simmons or not. I just want you to be consistent with your views on off field issues.

If you don't think Simmons should be allowed to play then I hope you feel the same way about Stringfellow and other OM players. But from your earlier comment on him, it doesn't seem that way.

I started this thread about a Mississippi State player & the first chance you get you bring up Ole Miss...as if that makes what Simmons did any less appalling.

But FWIW, I have the same feelings about String. Wouldn't have signed him ...

Because I brought up a major sports news story?

FTR, I never said you were obsessed - I said STATE is obsessed. Hard for anyone to argue against that when they printed "F*** TSUN" on their baseball jerseys when they weren't even playing Ole Miss LOL.
