We can always hope, but the answer is likely no...

I doubt they hire him but that is a job that makes sense for him

Stallings better take it...because even after 17 years as Vandy HC, he still has a losing conf record...and it seems that many years, fans are always calling for his firing.

Vandy has just 1 NCAA Tourn win since the start of 2008, which is one less than Pastner.

Getting into the Play-In game this year (and getting blown out) is not enough to keep the loyal Vandy fans (and those hoop fans are extremely loyal) happy.

Being completely serious Vandy and Josh Pastner is a perfect fit

JP would do a great job coaching at Vandy

His persona and coaching style is the ideal marriage

There are certain jobs out there in which he would be ultra successful and Vandy is one

Can't believe Stallings has been at Vandy for 17 years. He would have been fired 10 years ago at Memphis. Stallings should pay his own moving expenses to get out of Vandy.

'ideal marriage' ? I am not sure about that.
But, his high APR record at Memphis and clean image would fit well with vandy

VCU may be a better job then Vandy...P5 or not.. I wouldn't suspect Wade would leave for Vandy, Could always hold out to something better. Hell at this point VCU is a better job then Memphis too

Unless things are going on behind the scenes-our coach doesn't receive interest from any school. This sucks man. Serious question here....how is it that every coach is more atractive than Josh?? I mean crap I want him to get a job. It would be a good thing for everyone involved-him, our program, the u of m, the Tiger fans. Is the word out on him? Because by all counts schools with open jobs avoid Josh like the plague.

Will Wade to Vandy...and VCU won't look at Pastner.

It's a bad joke at this point.

Jeff Goodman ‏@GoodmanESPN
UNLV still debating on whether to move forward on Arkansas Little Rock’s Chris Beard or NM State’s Marvin Menzies.

Shame, but he dug this hole himself. The university has to suffer over one man's ego and denial.
Guess Josh is only one bigger than the program

JP has had two straight seasons of barely better than .500. Thats not goning to get him much interest from serious schools.

Wade is from Nashville.

Richmond and Memphis have similar MSAs. VCU has a 50% larger student body. Don't know how the two economies compare? On the surface the only advantage Memphis has is the recruiting base.

Winning that occurred more than 5 years in the past means almost nothing in regards to future winning.
