The fans of the NonFootball programs were a mixed lot with many being arrogant snobs that wanted nothing to do with the later southern school additions, even though they (nonFootball programs) didn't operate full athletic programs.

However, as someone who was the recipient of some of their arrogance, I have congratulate those programs for doing what they do very well.

Congrats to Nova...can certainly understand Temple fans ire...but its a good thing that the Big East ALSO has success in the new world the P5 is creating.

When UConn went out and won the National Championship (and still is in womens basketball)...it gave the idea that the P5 doesn't own the right to the Big Stage...and the Big East sending a team confirms it. Having not one, but two OTHER major conferences has to be built into the mindset of the American public, who will mostly just tune in to what they are told to. These are not "mid majors".
