DePaul? That was Satan Hall that was screwed out of a national championship in 1989, not Da Paw. DePaul's last Final Four was in 1979, preceding 3 straight chokes as a top seed.

As for Gonzaga, I don't know how to classify them. You can't even classify them above Houston, San Francisco or DePaul, UH has 5 Final Fours (not to mention helped shape college basketball in a 20 year span) and USF won 2 national titles along with another Final Four and no. 1 ranking. If the Zags had even 1 Final Four to their credit I'd be willing to move them up significantly but right now they're in a class with a school like Xavier or Western Kentucky (who has a vacated FF to their credit).

Overrated. That's how I classify them. Everyone always wants them to be the little school that could, but it never happens.

If you actually think that Houston is above Xavier right now you are more of a homer than I thought.

Overall history. I may give the nod to the Muskies if they even made 1 Final Four but even though they have been more consistent than UH has ever been, all they have to show for it is 2 or 3 Elite 8 appearances. UH has numerous appearances in the Dance when it was harder to get there and at more than one moment was considered among the handful of best teams in college basketball, which Xavier never has.
