His energy and communication reminds me a little of Tim Rose. Probably the best coach and motivator I've ever been around. I would've run through hell in gasoline soaked clothes for Coach Rose and Coach Armstrong.

I saw him in the video practicing so I would assume it went well but I don't know what happened.

Love that. Had two coaches like that in high school. I would have done that for one out of respect and the other out of fear..

I don't think we need to wait until mid season. Week 1 Week 2 should tell us what we need to know.

Not necessarily watch. Some will just read about it here, and make the decision.

Not what I said. I was saying the product on the field should be evident before mid season.

Simple solution. Long term contract with big bucks, automatic extensions, and no offset clause. I hear UCLA did that for Alford.
He'll be around for years.

I feel in love at this statement "why are we doing pursuit drill? It' WHO WE ARE" Love a coach who can establish an identity.

Henderson looked good at practice. The thing that scared me was Jackson Dillon was on crutches and wearing a huge brace on knee.

Even if that were the case, when is the last time Memphis had 2 consecutive football coaches get hired away to bigger jobs? Has that EVER happened? I'd count that as a positive (though a bittersweet one).

I agree with you.

The best thing for our football program is to have coaches succeed and leave for bigger jobs. We just have to keep making good hires.

Coach Norvell and his staff WILL take us to the NEXT level.....And he will be here for the long haul because us and Cincy are Big 12 Bound when all is said and done.....Ready For Tiger Football because WE Are A Football First school now.....No Limits....The World Is Ours Memphis.....
