Weekend series vs. ODU.
Good morning. I'm looking forward to the series this weekend. ODU is off to a fast start, but the next seven games (Rice, one vs. UVA, and FAU) are tough for us. The first time the Monarchs travelled to Houston the games were very competitive, I think two of them went deep into extra innings. I wish I could have made this trip.

I'm guessing that Sat. will become a DH, as it looks like Sun. could get rained out.

Yep. On March 7, 2014, Rice won, 4-1. But the next day's double-header was split, with both going extra: First Rice winning, 3-2, in 17 ... then the Monarchs taking the night cap, 2-1, in 10.

I was there for both games of that double-header - both were good games, but boy it was a long afternoon.

Forecast right now is only saying 25-30% chance of rain on Sunday, so may not need a Saturday double-header.

My preview of the series is now up on a separate thread.
