True.

Fortunately for us these 2 have been bad ass receivers for 3 years. And are BACK. Now some of you might have 2 seniors returning with numbers like that. I honestly don't know. I also know who Quin Jernighan and Lucky Jackson are. You guys will be introduced to them soon. And Fant and Towner and Brown.

RECEIVING STATISTICS
NAME REC YDS AVG LONG TD
Taywan Taylor 86 1467 17.1 78 (TD) 17
Nicholas Norris 63 971 15.4 69 (TD) 6

Will you guys make it more of a game than the first half? I almost felt sorry for Middle last year. I've never witnessed a first half beating like that game. We seriously could have scored 90 in that game. Lucky for you guys Jeff Brohm doesnt' curb stomp wide eyed puppies.

Perhaps he should have then if it was indeed possible? To make up for the 2009 game which was still a worse beat down in total.

Good Lord. I made you run back to the record books. Lol.

Why would Head Coach Jeff Brohm worry about what happened nearly a decade ago? That was a full fledged Middle team taking on a David Elson just barely moved up and in the middle of a horrendous losing streak team. Brohm has more class than to continue running it up. He could have. Make no mistake. Stockstill walked off the field at halftime last year with a glazed look in his eyes like he'd just seen the darkest thing you'd find in the dark part of the Internet. Assistants were snapping fingers in front of his eyes to see if he was there. A medic was dragging a pencil from right to left in front to see if there was any pupillary response.

That's what Middle does. Pound the downtrodden and then run for the hills when playing a legit squad. I got that from your own people on you board last year when they were dogging out your head coach.

Head Coach Jeff Brohm is all class. He could have put 90. He chose not to. GGJeff.

That's how he always looks.

So, now you are going to start with the excuses? Well, that is the western way. We could have scored 90 that day too. Heck, IIRC even the third QB got some action that day. Couldn't tell you his name though if you held a gun to my head.

But yep I admit we got beat down. It is what it is. No need to be sorry though, because that favor will be returned sooner or later. You are a basketball school that caught lightning with your football because you hired one of the most corrupt coaches in all of collegiate sports. That's what got you Brohm. I like Brohm and believe him to truly be a class guy, but you sold your soul to the devil to get him.

And is always the case....when you sell your soul the debt must always be paid, so I think it's good you revel in the moment. You should, because you know as well as I do it's not going to last for long.

Like I said on the other thread let's count recent coaches that are clean. Ok, so we got Brohm. Are there any others? Figure this to be a short list.

Defense won't be as good now that the UAB transfers are gone. They were the stars of the defense last year.

Can I start calling you Oral Roberts? Because you live in an Ivory Tower. Your diatribes on this message board border on when Oral told the little old ladies in nursing homes that God was going to take him home if he didn't get the money to build his tower.

You may not realize you come across this way. But your holier than thou shtick gets old to pretty much everyone not you. You've even alienated half of your own board. I watched it play out last football season. You're always the smartest guy in the room. The holiest. And when bad things happen at Middle (and I have a list and some of them are horrendous) you always have an excuse and they're being taken care of.

You couldn't even let a Western fan post a legitimate thread about a coaching search without you obsessing and turning it upside down. You said you were just kidding. C'mon mang. Oral Roberts never kids. Cause God is gonna strike him down. If he don't get the money.

I could see if I had posted the thread. You don't like me because I make fun of you for being the Bo Jackson of Bugtussle Tennessee. But this was just an average Western fan trying to start conversation about a big coaching change. But you couldn't let your obsession with all things Western let that go could you.

You couldn't even let me have fun with a wide receiver report without your obsessive stalking of all things Western.

Do you have a number for little old ladies to call in send you money yet? I have an 86 year old mother in law and the leeches call her non-stop begging for money. I'll put you on her list.

Bo Oral Roberts Jackson. From Bugtussle Tennessee. A football under one arm and stone tablets under the other!

Have a great day!

Lol back atcha. You guys were loling last year before bombs got dropped on your head. You won't be loling this time around. I'm just trying to give you guys fair warning to get some work in by your DBs. And I mean a lot of work.

Nope. Last year, i clearly said WKU will be the favorite to win CUSA and should be.

This season. You will be lucky to go 6-6 and grab a bowl.

I am a realist, not delusional. People that think you can just lose a 4 year (or 5 year, 6year) starter, and your offense is going to just torch the turf the next season, you are almost certainly wrong.

Now, i will tell you that our offense will take a huge step forward, and our defense will probably play just as well. That should be good enough to win CUSA next season.

Its going to be a battle between Middle and Marshall. WKU will have a rebuilding year, just the way it is.

Good post Goherd. Last year Ootsa was saying the same thing as these jokers are saying but it didn't come into fruition because there wasn't any QB as good as Soza.

I won't make any predictions as they might be right but most of the time it's all huff.

The Spring scrimmage isn't a regular season game as you're playing against your own personnel. Perhaps, the bombs were coming because your DBs are terrible. If it's that, thanks for the heads up. 03-wink

Fine would be an improvement over previous seasons. So congratulations I guess.

Taywan Taylor. BACK. Nicholas Norris. BACK. I wouldn't blame you if you don't recognize those two. All you saw was the backs of their jerseys last year. But they're both back as is Nacarius Fant, Kylen Towner, and Devin Nixon from last year.

But remember these 2 studs. Quin Jernighan and Lucky Jackson. We were so loaded at WR last year that these two studs redshirted. Now that Dangerfield and Grant are graduated your defensive backfield will be getting a heaping mouthful of the 2 stallions.

And for the Marshall fans that 'never really wanted' Baker. A big THANK YOU. I figured he'd come in and redshirt with Ace Wales and Ferby back and a possible Leon Allen return. But he was getting hella work today and I think Brohm got a glazed look one time when he busted it. He accelerates from zero to interstellar quickly. Again to the Marshall fans that DIDN'T want him. I AM GLAD. We'll take your rejects if they can run like him.

I can't imagine a wide receiving corps even close to what we have in the entire conference. Hell, I'll let ya'll combine 2 of your receiving corps together and put these boys up. We're that good.

Good luck to WKU next year! Should be fun.

Fine was good enough to provide Marshall a beat down and win a CUSA title last season despite hearing all year how our defense was too weak to get it done...See pic below

Thank you and good luck as well to Marshall. Being in the same conference makes it fun! Fo Real.

This entire thread was started by me in fun. I had just spent a gorgeous spring afternoon watching an awesome practice. For anyone that hasn't had the chance a Jeff Brohm practice it's like watching a 3 ring circus of football with balls being flung every 10 seconds. It's non-stop action with little circuses broke up in every corner of the field.

Going full speed in games is nothing because it's all these guys know. Watching semi-crippled 40+ year coaching veteran Don Dunn beller <sp?> at a bunch of young Dee Linemen is worth the price of admission (free.)

I'm sure I'm not the only person that has attended a spring practice.

Something to do. Full of hope. Love it.
