Thanks, but I've got my own soul. Praying for your soul is impossible, that's your job.

But, I can pray that one day you'll leave your unbelief and see the Light. That, I can do. Remember, once you're dead no number of prayers in your behalf can accomplish anything. That, is unbiblical.

I'm still waiting for a prayer to accomplish something.

Taking the religious part out of it, prayer is akin to meditation. It can result in better health for you.

As in, placebo effect.

Not really. It doesn't trick your brain, it does benefit your body as a whole.

I'll believe it when I see the actual studies. Even the supposed benefits could probably be gained just by getting together, without the praying, simply because most people are social. And presumably, for any benefit, you actually have to believe in the invisible guy in the sky that doesn't exist.

Fear isn't necessarily a bad thing. Fear can be a great motivator.

it is THEEEEE motivator.....tested, tried, and true....all one has to do is turn on the boob tube or open ones eyes and read....

Yup. It causes people to want to close borders and label all Mexicans as criminals.

Some interesting thoughts here. You do know that many good people have endorsed DJT. He still is drawing huge crowds and is leading all candidates .
This place, "Spin Room", is usually not full of dimwitted dimocrats. Good place to come to for some good rationale. Hope it continues. The recent comments are really astounding.

Later. 04-cheers

RE: What a school friend has to say.
I appreciate some of the things DT has brought to table in regard to issues. I just don't believe he is qualified or has the interpersonal skills required to be the leader of the free world. He is basically a crass ahole with a lot of money. That works in the business world where money is power. Without his bankroll and bravado?....he is an empty suit. I could not support him simply because his classless actions during this campaign go against everything my parents taught me. It would be like slapping them in the face to support such a jerk.
