Any word on how the reseating for chairbacks is going? Will there be unclaimed seats there where folks choose not to pay the extra money?

Nope. Those are the old ones. They haven't started demo yet.

They called me for picking my seats on March 17th at noon. The guy said that all of them in the middle section home side went the first day. I wasn't able to get aisle seats in my preferred section, so I got as close to the 40 as I could (ended up around the 35 or so.)

IF there is extra inventory it will probably be on the east (visitor's) side.

Something that I found odd was that they had me "select" my seats, but weren't prepared to take payment. He said I'll have to call in separately and pay later. I assume they'll send something out, since the "Season Ticket Renewal Deadline" is June 1st.

Update... The FAQ says:

When do I have to pay for my seats and my donation?
You will need to pay for your required seat license when you choose your seats, but you can choose to pay for your season tickets by the June 1 deadline.

I was there the 16th @ 3:30pm and essentially got seats comparable to what I already had, so I would say the donation is not scaring many away.

like mphsfan said, there will probably be plenty on the visitors side and may be some 102/106 or further out.

I was there a couple of days before and basically got my same seats (2 over from where they originally were)

Well, I suppose that I would rather stay on the West side in the bench seats than move to the East side in the chair backs. Will discuss with the family if that even appears possible. Thanks.

Hope I haven't lost my row 7 (front row) 50 yard line seats! But I bet I have.

Just got mine yesterday - Row 7 is gone - Row 8 is front row now. I was previously on row 7 and was able to stay on front row 8 but my seats aren't anywhere near the 50.

that's where our seats are were...we were told that row is gone :-/

Yep... we were/are on row 9, which has gone from the third row to the second.

Any word on what the new capacity is with the chair backs/loss of row(s)?

Saw this yesterday while I was poking around... Also read that the seats will be 22" wide, which is great.

What will the seating capacity of the reconfigured Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium be?
The current capacity of 59,307 will be reduced by approximately 1,100 seats taking it to approximately 58,207.
