Cronin has been offered jobs every year that he's been at Cincy, he always turned them down. Maybe now he feels it's time to move on after ten years of dedicated service. Vegas would be a great town to relocate and after what he did at Cincy he would have UNLV playing like champs in no time.

Fresh start, new contract, Vegas, Findlay Prep is right down the road and it is a D1, McDonald AA NBA factory.

He won't be sorry he left UC, Vegas is the place to be. Can't wait to hear the details of how this came to be, Cronin always refers to UC as his dream job but something has happened to change that.

If Cronin ends up going to UNLV, what are Cincinnati fans thoughts on this? Never could tell if you all liked Cronin or not. As a fan of this conference I've never liked his demeanor or attitude on the court but he has been fairly successful on defense and recruiting.

Cincys been to the tourney 6 yrs in a row but if Cronin takes his staff and recruits with him you can kiss that goodbye.

FWIW, the guy I know that is close to the Cronin family would be surprised if he left. Says Mick is listening like most people would listen to any kind of lucrative offer even if they were ok with where they were at.

I'm not sure how you figure that. Most of the time it's a formality done for the sake of politeness.

The death knell is usually 'Coach X is considering offer from Y school'. Saw that just with the Jamie Dixon thing.

When Cronin took over at Cincy the program had been completely gutted, he rebuilt the program from nothing absolutely nothing. The one thing he's never had is complete support,I have no doubt that there's fire Cronin threads out there now. Leaving is the right thing to do. He took over a program at UC that no other coach would touch, and brought it back to respectability as cleanly as you could possibly do it.

The recruits are signed by UC...Not Cronin...if the 2 recruits go with him they have to sit out 1 year....

I could see the new recruits and Evans transfer out to go with him. Clark would be iffy. Heck troy is young for a junior. He could transfer and sit out a year and party in Vegas for his 21st.
