This B1G basketball season has been an abject failure
I'm soooo irritated with having one of the more talented leagues only to see another year go by in which we likely won't win an NCAA Title . Yes Indiana still has a shot... but with 7 teams going to the tourney, I can't see how this has been a successful year. Given the way they played this year I had hope Indiana, Purdue, Sparty, Maryland, and Iowa could make a run to the elite 8 or final four. I really thought that Maryland & Sparty had the guns to bring home the championship but no luck for me.
Since I'm dumping...On a more personal not of frustration... Ohio State was one of the more talented teams in the league but couldn't buy a bucket when we really needed one!!! You could say we were young this year but Kentucky is young EVERY YEAR. Our offensive sets looked very high schoolish when we ran up against a solid defense. The motion on the offensive end was predictable and word around the campfire (thank you D'Angelo Russel) is that the program has a culture of laziness. I love Thad Matta but at a minimum we need to get a new strength and conditioning coach and either a new offensive philosophy or add some new variety into the current sets we run to open up the floor so we can score even if we don't have a (D'Angelo Russel, Mike Conley, Evan Turner, etc).
Thank you B1G board for allowing me to vent.

At least a down year in the Big Ten is still better than almost every other conference. The SEC and PAC 12 have been crap, with Oregon the exception. The Big 12 and ACC are the only ones who can say that they had a better year than the Big 10. Maybe the Big East but they've been bad with the exception of Nova.
I certainly don't think this is a trend and it was just an unlucky tournament performance in one of the most unpredictable years.

There wasn't a great team in the conference this season. The best team got upset in the first round for whatever reason. I didn't watch the game.
