I hope he is watching. The defense on some of these teams is fantastic.

Real organized college ball going on.
Except UALR is getting a whipping.

RE: Josh - Lesson 1
There is nothing, NOTHING, wrong with letting an assistant drive at times.

Josh Pastner's job is to win. I actually couldn't care less if he is great at X/Os. Lots of great coaches are leaders and not straight tacticians.

JP should get on staff:
- an old, failed, HC who has been there before and can be the 'brain' behind the man (Robic for Cal, Martin for Crean)
- a young, aggressive former player to be the sounding board and be the bridge between the kids and the staff (What is AA doing these days?)

It's not JP's job to be great at any one thing (X/O's, strategy, recruiting, etc). It IS his job to make sure the program wins. Crean gets it. Hoop makes a good observation here.

Even when you think you know the answer, don't be afraid to ask for more information or listen to someone else's opinion. There's always an opportunity to learn.

This is spot on. Like most I've been watching the tourney, and I've noticed how organized other teams look when they actually run sets. That's actually my main problem that I have with our tigers. We look sooooooo unorganized on offense, and defense that its just silly @ this point. If josh does actually read this board , man get you some damn help.

People, if Josh does find a wonder boy coach to get the program organized, he will just be hired away by another program and we have to start over again.

The hire another one. Or maybe Josh gets hired away to a bigger school?

And he needs a recruit evaluator so we don't keep getting players with "bad attitudes" and freshman that don't even make it to the first game. 04-chairshot
