A 6'3" cornerback is pretty rare for the MAC. I sense a position change will occur as he fills out. That is pretty tall for a corner - I suspect he will end up as a safety or perhaps even an OLB.

Keep'em skinny and coach up his speed. There's a future for CBs that can cover the taller receivers on the end zone fade routes particularly. The 5'9" guys are helpless by height and by coverage rules.

Just saw the report on Ch. 11. Says he wants to play at home.

Special Mention Div. II All State, 1st Team Div. II All District, Special Mention 2015 All-Blade Team, 1st Team All League.

Sounds like there is some real potential there.

I think I'd trust the measurables and coaches' decisions over those politically derived "honors." Though congratulatory, there's little in those that say "DI" talent over any number of others. Until shown otherwise, IMO, he's been given a gift. Though his team has underperformed in recent years, he has been benefit of the development facilities and showcasing they have other programs do not. How much more he has left in his curve, is not a given.

Wish him the best of course and hope he uses this as any further motivation he might (or might not) need to continue his development. Great to have the possibility of another local and hopefully it will be a trend that encourages local programs that their kids have a path to college ball. My feeling, though a case for bias can easily be made, if he has Norril's recommendation, then he's the right guy.

5'10 - 5'11 is pretty typical for an NFL corner. There are some taller ones, but not many taller than 6'1. And there are at least a few 5'9 or smaller DBs there too.

Didn't used to be a whole lot of 6'4" wrs in the NFL ether, or TE's that could run 4.6s

Trends. They ain't getting smaller. Kids coming into college will be looking at a different NFL game then the one played even last year and I think that's one particular position where the differences will be most dramatic. Each team is going to need at least one tall, speedy cover and with all the concern over head injuries, corner cover is one position probably getting knocked around a bit less than others. I think we'll even see more WRs switching sides of the ball.

the most dangerous play in football is the full speed open field tackle on defense. for corners, safeties, nickels they have to line up and pop rbs, tight ends and receivers going full speed. this is often where head injuries come in. i don't know the numbers but I'd guess dbs have more serious head and neck injuries than any other position.

First place I looked so there could easily be evidence to the contrary. CB looking like a relatively safe position to me, certainly compared to WR.
