Spring Practice Thread
Anyone know how the scrimmage went today? How are the red shirts and transfers looking? Anyone from last year look like they will make a big jump?

RE: Spring Practice Thread
Sounds like Vincent Lowe, the transfer from ODU, looked pretty good in the scrimmage. That is good. Need a dynamic speed guy.

RE: Spring Practice Thread
I was able to go by and saw the last few plays. The players looked spirited and faster and larger. What looked really good was that the bulldozers were working away in the background as the scrimmage took place. Not many scenes better than that!

The players are always going to look better when they don't have Gardner Webb's lines beating them to death. Everything's relative.

Wish I could've gone. I hope to make the spring game.

RE: Spring Practice Thread
What I saw today was a huge change from last years first practice scrimmage.
I saw more talent and potential. Very upbeat.
Extremely excited about Team 2.

WEATHER. One of the big arguments for going inside with football back then was weather. Apparently the powers that be thought a new Ice Age and/or another flood was coming. During that time and weather patterns, it was unusually cool/cold with much rain (and snow) over NE Tennessee, especially in October and November. When it opened, it was the best idea since sliced bread. If ETSU football had of exploded and brought home some IAA titles back then and became a constant winner, the sidelines issue would have been fixed, more seats added - maybe even upper decking (all that wasted space up there) to cash in on home field advantage. Then maybe now we'd be building a 30,000 seat outdoor venue for at least CUSA play.

We seem to have some more playmakers this year. Wike, Black and Lowe should help. I was disappointed that weiger didn't play more. He looked good when he was in there. He trucked a guy on that run
