MSU goes down in maybe the biggest upset in tourney history.

MSU and Kansas were co-favorites to win the tourney.

RE: O/T: March Madness
Dear Friends,
It was over when Michigan State fell behind by 15-2. Every time State got within two or three points, Middle Tennessee would come back and score four or five points and be back up by six to eight. Michigan State also played a very sloppy game, turning the ball over and over. The sad thing if your a State fan, is, Middle Tennessee will probably lose to Syracuse in the next game.

Too bad. So sad.

I'm worried about Bob. Hopefully there aren't any guns in his house.

Bob has like 20 other teams that he roots for, so I'm sure he's fine.

Enjoy seeing the big name schools go down in flames. Especially the Big 10. There should be a rule that limits the number of teams that can be in the dance to about 4. More of the mid major conferences should get multiple bids. It used to be that way before money started making all the decisions. It's a corrupt system.

As long as they're not green, with EMU on the jersey, he's ready to jump on any bandwagon! 05-stirthepot

Dear Friends,
Notre Dame is playing as badly as Michigan State did. Looks like a Michigan victory coming up. Notre Dame giving easy lay-ups, and mostly uncontested threes.

Yes, I prefer to see some of the less well known or schools with less resources win. It's the David v Goliath thing. It's pretty nice to see schools like St. Joseph, UNI, Middle Tennessee, and Yale win games.

I noticed the other day that scoring for gymnastics invites to the NCAA regional meet had a requirement that half of their team scores had to come from road meets. Wouldn't it shake things up if football and basketball teams had to play half of their non-conference games on the road?

Dear ljmhurons,
You are absolutely correct in your statement about playing half of one's games away. That's one of the reasons why U-M has a good record in football. When you have been playing the majority of your games at home since the 1930's it helps.

Separately - Wow, Notre Dame made an unbelievable comeback to beat Michigan.

I would not say MSU is shocked, they've lost like this before
