They call the foul on the loose ball that takes the final shot from Temple and puts a 55% shooter on the line with a sprained wrist.

They should have called a foul for the push off.

They let the taller Iowa kids drape all over the temple guys in the second half. They got many rebounds due to the no calls.

I only saw the last two minutes and overtime, but how in the hell does Temple only shoot 9 FTs and Iowa, a team that jacked up 28 treys, gets 22 attempts? It's not like Temple was having to foul down the stretch either...

I hate fans who blame refs. But I blame the refs. This was a very one-sided game from the officiating crew. Didn't start the no-calls until Temple fought back. Sucks for us, 5 vs 8.

Played a great game to claw back. Wish you had knocked them off and completely the not good very bad day for the BIG

Temple was robbed! #34 for Iowa gets away with a 2 hand push off. Temple should've been shooting FTs for the win. Good game Temple, you deserved better.

After this game & watching the Tulsa vs Michigan game in person, I don't think the Big 10 is any better than the AAC this year. Also, Little Rock came back & beat Purdue with late 3s, just like they did to Tulsa.

Punk refs. There's no feasible way that the refs missed that. They're simply scared to blow their whistle and "decide" the game.

Didn't get to see the game, but wanted to say good season and good effort to Temple. You guys had a good team this year.

They need be a change in the NCAA management or even at the top the need to crack down on these whistle happy ref's, the announcers were commenting during the temple game that they should not be calling such miniscule fouls when the game is on the line

I said in the non-AAC tournament thread that the refs have a clear P5 bias, and although I didn't get to see the Temple game, all I've heard about the end is complete 100% confirmation of said bias.

The Iowa bigs were pushing off and grabbing on rebounds for most of the last 5 minutes of regulation and it was never called, it’s part of how they were getting so many tip out’s and keeping the possessions alive in the second half.

The final play it was a pretty blatant push off but it would have taken balls for the ref to make that call to decide the game. If he made the call Obi would have been shooting at the other end with the game tied and less than a second left.

I don’t know how to post a clip someone posted on Twitter, sorry but you can see it here pretty plainly.

What can you do, what’s done is done, the kids fought hard and that’s all I can ask.
Go Owls.

I'm not fond of complaining about officiating but those officials were flat out awful late in regulation and in OT. Bond was clearly fouled on an offensive rebound late in regulation, but the refs don't make the call and Iowa ends up with possession. The shove at the end of OT was mild in comparison to the tip out that Woodbury (I think) got in OT by shoving his off-hand forearm into Obi's throat to clear space. It's a physical game and in OT but at some point you have to enforce the rules of the game.

The team definitely aquitted themselves well. I just hate seeing bad officiating influencing the outcome of close games.
