It's not raining in Little Rock or Monroe anymore.

SBC games:

Little Rock at UL-Lafayette
Troy at Georgia Southern
Arkansas State at Georgia State
Texas Arlington at South Alabama
Appalachian State at Texas State

Nonconference: Dallas Baptist at UL-Monroe

Future SBC: Coastal Carolina at Longwood

Seriously, Longwood sounds like a name of an old Western Town.

Chance of some rain hitting San Marcos tomorrow night so they changed the start time to 3PM.

I've been to Longwood. Take away the trees and it might as well be a nothing town in West Texas.

Friday weather looks like it might hold out, but Saturday might get rained out if current forecast holds. Good news is that the percentage chance appears to be dropping. Sunday should be a beautiful day for some baseball, mid 60's and clear.

Does the Sun Belt have any kind of rules against playing double-headers on Sunday ? If we get washed out on Saturday and with our opponent being Troy (who I assume will bus over), you think we'd play 2 on Sunday ?

It is 60% Friday and 40% Saturday (early) in Cajun land this weekend. A cold front is scheduled to come through so overnight weather will be in the 40's but daytime for Saturday and Sunday looks like mid-60's which should be great for baseball. Hoping we don't have to do a DH Saturday or Sunday as I think that takes away some of the advantage of a weekend series for the home team. JMO

We'll see how this goes. My weather radar has nothing on it right now.

Since something like 60 plus percent of doubleheaders are split, it does take away the home team's edge. Can leave it down to a 1 game thing.

I'm thinking it's a drama series on UPN.

Tough to really ever expect to sweep anyone. But I'd be disappointed with anything less than a sweep this weekend.

UTA @ USA is postponed tonight. Will have a double-header tomorrow and a game on Sunday.

Actually, Longwood is in Farmville, Va. (insert your own quip here). Coincidentally, I'm in Farmville, sitting in a bar about 150 feet from the square. So yes, on the outskirts of town.

TXST got smart changing the start time. UT started at 6:30 and are already in a lightening delay with storm just outside the city limits (to the west) and moving southeast.

Challenger pitches out of a mess, bases loaded, no outs and gives up one run. Southern and Troy tied at 1, bottom of the 2nd.

Bennett is excellent. They shouldn't have taken him out of the game.
