If they shoot 70%, no. I don't think they will Monday night. They beat you with their D on the perimeter. Will be a contest of their 3s against Carolina's power on the inside. Hopefully, Paige found his stroke. I feel good matching up with Villanova.

Nova shot around 65% against Miami in the Sweet 16. They haven't cooled off yet.

Nova been the best looking team in the tournament

These are the 2 best looking teams in the tournament. Nova is small but have great shooters while NC has the size & power.

ESPN stats & info:

1 seeds are 7-2 vs 2 seeds in the title game, have won 6 straight. Last 2-seed to beat a 1 in the title game was Louisville vs Duke in 1986

Johnny Dawkins is still trying to figure out how Jeff Hall shut him down the last 10 minutes of that game.

Another interesting tidbit, since the Yum Center opened the champions have come through Louisville.

That 86 team was phenomenal, still among my all time favorites.

Joining the ACC has really altered my life. I never thought for a million years that I would be rooting for UNC and Duke for anything! But here I am, two years in a row , rooting for these guys. YUK!

One of the drawbacks of conference realignment.

It could have been worse. Imagine if the Cards had joined the SEC, where he might have had to root for Kentucky.

The premise is a bit of a stretch. Yes, UConn played at the Yum Center in 2014, but the Huskies lost there (then won the National Championship). By that logic BOTH teams in the Final have at least played at the Yum Center this year... but I'm not sure that qualifies as "the champions have come through Louisville"

All that's meant by the statement is that since the YUM Center opened, the eventual champion has played a game in the arena each season.
