stevers thoughts
Gotta love Big East fans talking smack about Tulsa's loss last night, asking if it really counts if no one knows you were in the tournament. The same folks who 2 years ago were hemming and hawing saying that Xavier was absolutely a part of the tournament even though they got beat by NC State in the first 4.... Or the Big East fans complaining about St Bonnie's being left out of the tourney due to RPI- but didn't say a word about Temple last year. Consistency is a good thing.

Also the insecurity with a lot of big east fans is just comical..... folks complain about ESPN saying that the Big East could be knocked out early- and ESPN is biased against them. But then you look, and compared to all the other conferences, the big east is the one conference that could get knocked out early- the committee didn't do any favors. But no, facts are nothing, the big bad ESPN is out to get you.

one thing that is big- this year the BE teams that were in the BE in 2010- only brought home 4 tourney units. Nova with 2, then Marquette and Georgetown with 1 each. So already here at 4pm on Thursday- BE has 6 units clinched. Everything else just gravy from here.

2 good wins so far. Can the Hall come back to make it 3-0?

RE: stevers thoughts
man it sucks that PC was in the 8/9 game, because a game like yesterday could easily have spawned a run in the tourney that would have been really fun. Instead they see the 1 seed UNC now in pretty much a true road game, and that's going to be that very possibly.

Silver lining from Seton Hall losing, with the way Whitehead played, maybe that keeps him there next year.

Not the result I was wanting from Brooklyn... I really think Iowa is extremely dangerous. 1 month ago they were a legit #4.

RE: stevers thoughts
lol good one....

So have you come off your high from the PC win last night? I really hate PC being in where they are because if they were just about anywhere else in the bracket, I think they would have a really good shot at an elite 8. But even if they beat UNC, they have Kentucky or Indiana looming....

RE: stevers thoughts
uh oh.... Xavier looking really good(one of the most impressive starts so far) and with WVU gone now, the bracket could be wide open for them... Wisconsin and then SF Austin/Notre Dame/Michigan.....

RE: stevers thoughts
well this is the weekend of reckoning for the Big East. 4 games, 2 games favored in. To me, this is kind of like the last frontier for the Big East. Wins this weekend, and the conference announces it's presence with authority to everyone. Losses and it's the same ole same ole.
