It's ok to talk smack if you are winning enough games. He has a big mouth.

So going to the finals in 3 of 4 years isn't winning enough?

I do know him and I know lots of people who also know him. He has never known when to stop talking.

Compared to who? You?
He is somewhat outspoken, but they knew that before they ever made him the head coach. They were very lucky to get Brownell when they did.

Agreed. The tournament format is ridiculous. I'm not implying his rant is why he would have been let go. But it is indicative of his desire to voice his opinions. I prefer his style though. If we were looking for a coach, he'd be high on my radar.
If/when we get a new coach, we need to stay on the path set by Keatts. There is a wide pool of Pitino and pressing coaches we will need to find to continue what we have started ala VCU, who hasn't skipped a beat after Shaka left. We can't keep changing styles and expect to have a consistently excellent program.

Not wanting to talk about that yet. Plus, in all honesty, I think today's loss buys us another couple years with him maybe. Regardless, we need to get some ink on an extension ASAP!

Somewhat outspoken? You are correct they should have known what they were getting but I think the bottom line is he did not perform up to their expectations.

I think they have pretty unrealistic expectations. If they think they are going to get another Brownell to go there they are crazy!

What's with the bagging on Donlon but nothing about the seemingly crazy "expectations" of Wright St?

You could say that about a lot of schools. I am surprised he last as long as he did.

Definitely agree. Potentially someone on Keatts staff. Hopefully we don't have to worry about that for few seasons.
