UB vs Miami (FL), Thursday 6:50pm, TNT
So does anyone think UB has a legitimate shot here? Just browsing over some articles and different message boards the consensus is that this will will a runaway Miami win...anywhere from 18-25 points. The ESPN and CBS talking heads pretty much breezed right by this game and picked Miami without even considering an upset.
Seems like UB is playing with house money here. No one expects them to even hang tough let alone win.
What do our MAC brethren think?

I wish Buffalo the best of luck and hope they win, but I won't be picking them in any of my money brackets.

RE: UB vs Miami (FL), Thursday 6:50pm, TNT
I was impressed with how Buffalo played in the MAC tournament. They'll have to do better to beat Miami. Ohio's defense is a joke, and Akron had a poor offensive night. The Bulls have a lot of tools that can produce upsets: plenty of scorers, aggressive rebounders and they a good defense. I wouldn't bet on them, but I certainly think a win is possible if they have a great game.

No one ever gives MAC teams a chance. I hope they ignore the pundits and put it to an ACC team.

The biggest thing going against UB, is Jim Larranaga. He has coached in this league, no way he lets his team look past a MAC opponent.

I don't see an upset brewing, but as always I'll pull for the MAC squad.

UB deserved to win the tournament. They were the best team there all 3 days. They are really playing only two guys in their rotation from last season's NCAA team, it probably took this long for the guys to feel comfortable in the system and come together. UB has the most talent in the MAC IMO. I expect a very competitive game, like they gave WV last year. Keep it close and anything can happen at the end.

Once this Purdue/UALR game ends, UB/Miami will be the only game on for about 30 minutes.

I thought Akron was the most talented team in the MAC.

BTW, I'm in Vegas. This is the worst NCAA tourney in my memory.

We were all talking unexciting matchups.

Or not, good start for UB, but Purdue/UALR in 2OT, pretty exciting as well.

Bye, bye Purdue.

The tourney is getting better.

Stony Brook is my super underdog.

Well, on the bright side they hung tough and covered the spread easily. Certainly didn't embarrass themselves or the MAC. Miami just has some size and athletes. If Connor could've have hit that late three, it would've been an interesting ending for sure. Being a #14 seed did us no favors but oh well. Now let's go UB women!!

Never played with a lead ... never really attacked the rim like MAC Tournament. Size matters.

Never played with a lead...except for the first 15 or so minutes. Miami definitely did a great job keeping our players out of the lane though.
