This is not a bad FIRST head coaching job. He has worked his way up the coaching ladder and is now being offered an entry level head coaching position. What a novel idea.

Congrats on the offer. You would think he would accept if he took the time to interview. Pacific was in the NCAA tourney a few years back.

I've had a few family members attend that school, I have visited the campus myself, and family member actually played on the basketball team. Their 'gym' is old school but that is kind of cool.

He signed an LOI in November....but I expect him to ask out of it.

Luckily, I have been assured that we have a "great recruiting class" coming in next year so losing Moore, should it happen, shouldn't be a big deal.

University of the Pacific Director of Athletics Ted Leland has announced the hiring of Damon Stoudamire as Men’s Basketball Head Coach.Stoudamire becomes the 22nd head coach in school history. A press conference will be held at 1:30 pm at the Vereschagin Alumni House to announce the hiring where Dr. Leland and Coach Stoudamire will speak. Stoudamire honed his skills under legendary coach Lute Olson at Arizona where he played four seasons before beginning a 13-year NBA career. He has spent the last seven years coaching basketball as an assistant with the Memphis Grizzlies, Arizona Wildcats, and most recently the Memphis Tigers.
