The recognition is nice for Ely and congrats to him but has anyone at NFF priced a textbook? They do some good things but their charitables don't make sense to me. They'll recoup that $1500 and much much more at the banquet. I hope Harbough is donating his time, he most probably is. That $50 to see and hear him is probably a good for the value date.

Which you can't actually get without the text and all the overhead fees. It just seems an odd type of graduate scholarship, way too meager. More like a first term renewable undergraduate that is usually packaged with whatever else the student can get. Grad students don't have time for that paperwork.

Not meaning to look Ely's gift-horse in the mouth (though I suppose I am) these things seem to me just looking for a high profile person to give a meager amount to for publicity's sake but I'm sure it's nice to have. Could be I'm speaking out of ignorance, I've not heard of grad schollies like that but as I said, NFF....organizations like that, their charitables sometimes don't add up to me.

Anyhow, I thought Ely was a GA? Wouldn't he already have everything paid?

Is he spending it at UT?

It said he was getting his MBA. $1500 wouldn't go far so that's why I was asking if he was also a grad assist. I thought I'd read somewhere that he was.
