Play LaTech in Vegas 16
Good opponent. Vegas is a mid-major field.

This will be a tough game - I like the matchup. They're led by do-it-all senior guard and C-USA POY, Alex Hamilton. Hamilton's averaging 20 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 6.2 apg, & 2 spg. Holy cow!

Doc Sander's rationale for playing in this tournament:
http://youtu.be/oycpYIoqz0U

Makes good sense to me given all the considerations outlined by Sander.

Probably the best choice we could have made since the NIT would not consider us. It appears to be the best of the other three tournaments and it gives the team time to practice and prepare for it while not taking a huge amount of time for the tournament itself. Well done Dr. Sander.

Dr. Sander made good on what he outlined in his 'Inside the Dome' show Mar. 9th. He and his staff had already been in touch with all possible tournaments. Nit was first choice and Vegas 16 was second choice. Way to go Dr. Sander, another good decision.

Regardless if you agree or disagree with playing in this tournament, the difference front Dr. Sander and his predecessor is night and day.

While I admit not caring much about any of these three minor tournaments, I continue to love the way Dr. Sanders puts these inside the dome episodes together to keep everyone informed.

Quite the opposite of what we saw in the previous administration.

They've put in a lot of hard work and deserve the reward. Coaches and players should relax and have a good time (and relaxed ballplayers usually play well).

I'd love to know if any of them haven't had the opportunity to go out west. For people from the Eastern part of the US, the first visit to the West is pretty cool.

First time flying into Vegas is pretty neat. Hope the guys have a great time.
