I think they look at your average attendance...Surprised with ours barely 1500 this season we could host...

WBB at USM is very disappointing. I have no idea what the problem is. I really think we have a very good coach, but the results don't support that. She has been there long enough to be producing better results. Don't know what the problems are, but my understanding is that there is a high turnover over players on her team. I am not suggesting a change in coaches, maybe this is as good as women's bball can be at USM.

It's not as strictly pay to host as it used to be. There are certain agreements a school has to make before it can even bid, including listing out every round that they can host. Schools that can't host multiple rounds for various reasons are far more likely to be sent on the road in other rounds as well. They are also required to make it clear to the WNIT before selection whether or not they can host a potential championship game.

RE: WBB--We need multiple NCAA bids next year
During our WNIT run two years ago we hosted every game. We got some big crowds for the quarterfinals and beyond. Selling out the semifinals and championship game. There was some conflict regarding the championship game. The Don Haskins was booked for the day of the WNIT final. Thankfully the concert that was scheduled agreed to have his concert somewhere else. It was a bit unfair to him but he was cool with it. He even sat court side for the entire game.

I hope we can duplicate that same succes. I've been to many many many games and to this day the WNIT final vs Rutgers is the loudest I have ever heard the Don Haskins. I got lightheaded and my ears were ringing after the final whistle. I'm praying El Paso shows up again.

i see some of the "bored" has joined us. turnover is a part of almost every mid major program. Mtsu lost the pre season poy during a road trip. No one blamed a coach. But here when a player stops playing because of a medical situation or injury it is suddenly the coaches fault.

And then it is still bid round to round. Just like ours was last year.

Most of the time the bid doesn't change though. Astate raises its bid significantly one year to get a home game against Arkansas. But most of the time the bid remains static till the last rounds. Though UTEP throws a lot of money at this thing when they are in it I know.
