UAB disappointed for missing NCAAs; BYU expected to be in NIT...

I thought it was weird that Avery Johnson said in an interview in the NIT selection show that he didn't expect his team to make the post-season at all and so they are thrilled to be in the NIT.

What a weird standard to set...and even stranger, admit to.

Especially considering BYU is used to making the big tournament.

I think they should award the conference champs instead of giving the at large teams the home game. If a team is sweating a pick to the NIT then why do they get to host.

Haha ok. My first thought was, "why is (former UAB PG) Aaron Johnson on the NIT Selection show?" My second thought was, "oh, I guess BYU has a player named Aaron Johnson on their team." Makes sense now.
