Norrils with 40.5 vert. Wilcher with 41.5 vert. Zo with a 30.5 vert.
Lots of 35 inch verts from guys like Dukes and Gibbs.

Wilcher ran an unifficial 4.25 40.
Pringle attended this year.

Murdock did 34 reps of 225.

I didn't really think Norrils had those numbers in him. Those are good, right?

Norrils just may get drafted. 6 foot even... He's growing his hair out but every bit helps! Cone drill looked fast. Not sure how many reps he had of 225. Id presume in the 15-20 range.

I'd love to see them time the 40. Is it not from a standing start? Every year I see guys with faster 40 yard times than Ben Johnson's steroid fueled 40 yard split in his World Record 100 meters.

They only run 36 in 1990 yds. Inflation.

4.31 is the best time at the combine this year. Only 9 players ran under 4.40 there. 4.25 is ridiculously good. Someone ran a 4.19 at one of the regional combines this year and that was the all time record, I believe.

Only 9 players at the combine had 40 inch verticals or better. 41.5 would have tied the best there.

I'm glad that Wilcher seems fully recovered from his injury. I knew he had put up numbers like that before. Those just might get him a camp invite somewhere.

34 reps was the best mark at the combine, and that was from an OL. Best LB was 30.

Not from a standing start. 3 point start, or whatever that is called.

Not to be Debby Downer, but the 40 times at pro days are always about .10 to .20 seconds better than what the same guys run at the combine...

How do they fake the high jump and 225 reps? 03-wink You're probably right but there's probably also still some legitimate vetting.

Not really what I meant, I guess- I read where there is no reaction time in pro 40s: clock starts when the athlete starts as opposed to track where they start on a gun. Huge time advantage if the clock starts on your movement so it would make sense that times would be faster but I'm still very skeptical that any of these can truly approachh a 4.2 or something.

RE: Pro day
Its a bunch of scouts and they come up with a common middle number. The times i posted are what the main guy said. Not sure what they came up with after deliberation.

Ah, yeah, I think that's true. But the scouts are comparing the players to each other and not to the track folks, so as long as they all run to the same rules. And the pro days are all hand timed.

Those are great numbers. I am sure if you look at the combine numbers for CB's, these would be near head of the class.

Agree for the most part. What it doesn't tell you is reaction time which I think would be very important since players start on a count. A 4.3 receiver timed on his first move might be slower than a 4.45 guy with better reaction time.

RE: Pro day
True. Proday is your own first movement and take off. In a game, you would go on snap count and ball movement from the center.
