Thought I'd start one of these for the basketball season too. I'm not sure if Rhoades will be in the mix for any jobs this offseason or not. I think he needs a winning season before that happens?

In any regard, a few notable coaching changes already are Rutgers (Eddie Jordan gone) and UTSA (Brooks Thompson fired). I just posted in the conference site that I wonder if UTSA would consider Willis Wilson?

In women's news, I thought it was interesting that FIU fired its first-year coach (Marlin Chinn) for illegal benefits and other improper activities (he gave $600 to one of his players and allegedly asked for sexual favors in return). Chinn, as some of you may recall, coached with Coach Langley at Maryland.

TCU fires Trent Johnson (which also means Brent Scott is out of a job).

Forgot to mention in the first post that Tulane fired its coach a couple of days ago (apparently midway into its tournament upset win over Houston).

Stanford MBB just fired Johnny Dawkins. This is now the highest profile job available.

Cal Asst fired over sexual harassment charge.

Not a good postseason for Bay Area coaches. In addition to Dawkins and the Cal asst., the Santa Clara and USF head coaches have also been fired. Apparently, USF's big win over Rice wasn't enough for Rex Walters to keep his job.

Jamie Dixon from Pittsburgh to TCU, Dartmouth coach canned, Wyoming coach steps down, Oklahoma State and Kansas State fired their coaches. Also last week Wright State coach was fired even though he won 20 games and made it to the conference finals this year. Lotta transfers hitting the market.

That's an impressive hire by TCU. Big12 affiliation pays off again.

Dixon is a TCU alum, so that undoubtedly played a part. Seems to be pretty close with Del Conte, as he encouraged Del Conte back in 2010 to start exploring Big East membership, and played a role in TCU getting its short-lived Big East membership.
