Their players did not look thrilled to face us.

We played them last year...it was not pretty. They have 2 7 footers if I remember correctly. Good news is that if you get through them, Iowa state is an overrated 4.

I think Purdue was more disappointed on being a 5th seed after making it to the B10 championship game.

I am sure Purdue does not follow the Belt closely.

You don't have to "follow the belt" to know about the Trojans this year.

True, but you always have the big school arrogance. "We won't have any problems with them," despite all their coach says to them.

Yes you do but I think maybe Purdue got screwed a little with the 5 seed. This is a terrible draw for Little Rock. Sagarin has Purdue in the top 10. You want to be the 12 seed... but Purdue is not the 5 seed you want.

Hope you guys can pull off the upset. Pulling for you.

Purdue fan here. Congrats on your season, 29-4 is hard to do, I don't care who you are. Not thrilled about our draw, you guys look like you have a skilled well coached team that shoots a high % and defends. Really hate the location, since the altitude certainly does no one any favors, especially our big guys.

Thoughts on strengths and weaknesses on your team?

Deep bench. Roster heavy with juniors and seniors. Very few turnovers. (We had one game with only one.) Shoot a very good % from the arc and we have several weapons from there. Quick guards.

My son in Indiana thought Purdue was underseeded at a 5. We could have easily been an 11, based on our RPI. We won't be able to stop them underneath. But, if we are hitting our 3's and the altitude wears on them, who knows. It's what makes the tournament great. Definitely will be a "neutral" court. I was worried about playing a team like Kentucky, in St. Louis, where they would bring 30,000 fans.

Never ever ever try to go to a NCAA site that has Kentucky in it unless you already have your ticket in hand. Their fans descend on a place like a plague of locusts!

Jalen Jackson might be a key for us. We can't match up with their bigs, but he and Roger might give them trouble with their penetration into the lane.

We are a really good team. Big Ten good? We'll find out in a few days.

As a Purdue fan, not only we but the entire Big Ten got shafted as well. The players were likely tired after the Michigan State game and disappointed with seed.

And that is a key. The sum of the parts is greater than the whole. We definitely do not pass the eye test, but they don't keep score on that.
