The most respect the conference has received since its inception.

But, Houston would have to have beaten one of the worst teams in basketball in its first game and SMU would have to have stayed out of the crosshairs of the NCAA for that work.

Either way much respect for the conference.

We got four teams in. I'm glad I can stop saying we are a two bid league...that was beyond embarrassing.

I also think we can make some noise.

If Houston gets in, then Tulsa doesn't imo.

Any conference could make that claim, if so-n-so beat this team and that team they would be in.

Houston wouldn't have gotten in and SMU would have just pushed everyone down a spot, we still would have gotten 4.

If Houston had not lost to USF down the stretch and then beat Tulane, they would have been in. They could not afford any bad losses in conference. The only other way was beating Tulane and getting to conference final and losing in a dogfight to UConn. The committee would have loved that.

Losing in a dogfight wouldn't have mattered. They have to have the bracket ready and apparently it was already ready to go hours before the end of the last game.

Well Houston lost to Tulane so it doesn't matter.

chiming in to what many have said...
I think if any of the following three happened:
SMU was eligible, if Memphis had won the AAC tourney, or if UH had beaten Tulane
then Tulsa would have been bumped.

We weren't going to get five in. It would take having four ranked AAC teams plus a non ranked member winning the AAC tourney to get five in at this point.

This UH team had no inside game. Knowles liked to disappear and Meyers still has not enrolled yet LOL. But they had good rebounding wings and a plethora of good guards. Look forward to the showing in the NIT and seeing if Sampson can pick up some competitive bigs to move this process along next year.

I see you are the Sith apprentice to that Tulane clown who has like -160 rep points. You are only on -15 so just remember, you can't reach his level all in one day. Pace yourself son, pace yourself. Slow and steady dbaggary will get you there, eventually.

Why is that? I think a full and in depth discussion on that is worth exploration.

I'm not sure they're Tulane people. In fact, I'm curious as to who they really do back.

So bitter. You think they would be happy to have grabbed onto a coattail.
