To AAC Tourney Teams
I know I give you guys and the conference a lot of crap and I troll and I anger ya'll...but

I am pulling hard for UCONN, Temple, and Tulsa this time.

I'm a Husky, Owl, and Golden Hurricane fan for this tourney.

Go Bearcats, and go AAC!

Best wishes folks.

RE: To AAC Tourney Teams
The AAC was probably better than I gave us credit for this year (watch us go 0-4 lol). At least the middle up.

UH was a major surprise.

Tulsa, UC, SMU, and UCONN should have been good.

memphis was a downer...even with the end of the year heroics.

UCF, USF, ECU, and Tulane need to get their crap going

We got 4 teams in and that's better than most conferences but our teams are the lower seeds in the match ups so let's hope for some wins

First Round games are all very winnable.... It's the next round that will be real tough.

RE: To AAC Tourney Teams
4 AAC teams in the NCAA’s:
Cinn, Temple, Tulsa, & U Conn

NCAA actually “considered” strength of schedule
over a “named’ school &/or P5 school
Good 4 them

Tulsa only AAC team in play in game
That says alot about what the NCAA committee thought
about the strength of the AAC

AAC first Rd Games w/ their overall seeding # in the NCAA's included:

EAST
#45TU/#42Mich winner plays #22Notre Dame (in Brooklyn)
then potential #9WVU the next rd. & Potential #25Wisc/#37Pitt/#8Xavier in the sweet 16's?
"Ouch" TU w/ the most Brutal/Bruising/Physical Bracket
No. 11 seed Tulsa (+1.5) vs. No. 11 seed Michigan

EAST Regional Seed
- 6 Notre Dame vs 11 Michigan/Tulsa: The Fighting Irish are one of the most balanced teams in the nation with five starters averaging in double figures, while the Wolverines and Golden Hurricane were among the last at-large teams to get into the field.

SOUTH
#27Iowa/#38Temple winner plays #7Villanova/#61UNC-Ash winner
Potential “Philly” spiced rivalry game 2nd rd
No. 7 seed Iowa (-7) vs. No. 10 seed Temple

SOUTH Regional Seed
- 7 Iowa vs 10 Temple: The Hawkeyes' late-season collapse reached a nadir with a loss to Illinois in the Big Ten Tournament. The result is a date with the guard-dominated regular-season American champs.
- 2 Villanova vs 15 UNC-Asheville: The Wildcats' loss to Seton Hall in the Big East title game dropped them to the second line, where they face the defensive-minded Big South tourney champions.

WEST
#35Cinn/#32St Joe winner plays #4Oregon---#68Holy/#67South winner.
Best Chance for an AAC team to make the sweet 16's?
No. 8 seed Saint Joseph's (+2) vs. No. 9 seed Cincinnati

WEST Regional Seed
- 1 Oregon vs 16 Holy Cross/Southern: No. 1 seeds for the first time, the Ducks begin pursuit of their first national championship against the winner of the matchup between Holy Cross and Southern.
- 8 Saint Joseph's vs 9 Cincinnati: The Hawks won the A-10 Tournament title despite senior star Papa Ndao getting tossed. Can he keep his poise against the Bearcats, who lost a four-overtime thriller against UConn in the American tourney quarterfinal.

SOUTH
#36U Conn/#30”Buffs” winner plays #1KU/#63Austin Peay winner
Jayhawks #1 Seed overall
No. 8 seed Colorado (-3.5) vs. No. 9 seed Connecticut

SOUTH Regional Seed
- 1 Kansas vs 16 Austin Peay: The Jayhawks, the tournament's No. 1 overall seed, open against the Ohio Valley champs as they seek their first national championship since 2008.
- 8 Colorado vs 9 Connecticut: After setting a school record for regular-season wins, the Buffaloes were rewarded by facing one of the hottest teams in the nation in American tourney champion UConn.

The 2016 NCAA tournament is here and it is time to see which conferences fared the best when it comes to bids.

PAC-12 (7): Oregon, Utah, USC, Arizona, California, Oregon State, Colorado
BIG TEN (7): Michigan State, Purdue, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Wisconsin, Michigan
BIG 12 (7): Kansas, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Baylor, Texas, Iowa State, Texas Tech
ACC (7): North Carolina, Notre Dame, Duke, Virginia, Miami, Pittsburgh, Syracuse

AAC (4): UConn, Temple, Cincinnati, Tulsa
ATLANTIC 10 (3): Saint Joseph’s, VCU, Dayton
SEC (3): Kentucky, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt
MISSOURI VALLEY (2): Northern Iowa, Wichita State

ONE-BID LEAGUES: America East (Stony Brook), Atlantic Sun (Florida Gulf Coast), Big Sky (Weber State), Big South (UNC Asheville), Big West (Hawaii), CAA (UNC Wilmington), Conference USA (Middle Tennessee), Horizon (Green Bay), Ivy (Yale), MAAC (Iona), MAC (Buffalo), MEAC (Hampton), Mountain West (Fresno State), Northeast (Fairleigh Dickinson), Ohio Valley (Austin Peay), Patriot (Holy Cross), Southern (Chattanooga), Southland (Stephen F. Austin), SWAC (Southern), Summit (South Dakota State), Sun Belt (Arkansas-Little Rock), West Coast (Gonzaga), WAC (CSU Bakersfield)

I can't believe Tulsa got in. I thought we were toast after that Memphis loss. ESPN/Lunardi didn't even have us in the last 4 out anymore. That being said, I'll take this moment to say IN YOUR FACE JOE LUNARDI!

I'll be rooting for all of us! Go Tulsa and go AAC!

RE: To AAC Tourney Teams
In the Official Selection Show Thread, I actually congratulated Temple, UCONN & Cincy, before Tulsa was announced. I didn't see our bid coming.

With SMU being an NCAA quality team, it is nice to see that 5 of our 11 teams had NCAA-worthy seasons. (I know that Tulsa probably only made it in because SMU was ineligible).

So I'll repeat on here : Congrats to UCONN, Cincinnati & Temple ( & Tulsa), lets go win some games for the conference !

Hey, UCF fired the coach, so it's a start! And given the football hire, I'm excited to see what the AD does. Especially as he is a basketball guy first anyway.

RE: To AAC Tourney Teams
I think Tulsa getting in says a lot about what the committee thinks of the AAC. We all better take care of business or next year we could really be sweating it out to get more than 2 bids.

Everyone is ripping the committee this year for opting to include mediocre p5 teams (Michigan, Wisconsin, etc) over the little guys (St. Mary's, Monmouth, St. Bonnie) so hopefully the bubble isn't so big next year.

OOC scheduling will be a really big deal going forward. Even those at the bottom/with new coaches cannot schedule like Houston did this year. Aresco needs to enact some minimum standards IMO.
