RE: MT - Michigan St in St Louis
I stated I hoped for 13 we should be 14 but we will be a 15.

This just pisses me off. You could see it coming in that UAB was not even in the bubble and being mentioned as A 7 seed in the nit.

This conference needs an emergency meeting with the ads and coaches and consul with a plan.

Re: MT - Michigan St in St Louis
Luster of yesterday wore off quick. If ya'll don't get how important win percentage of the conference is look no further than Buffalo and the MAC. They hosed us because of the league's ranking. No other explanation.

I'm pretty disappointed with this spot. IMO, Michigan St is one of the top elite teams in the country that we have no chance of beating. In fact I think Kansas is the only team better in the country right now. I will be surprised if we keep this game within 20. Pure horse manure thus draw.

Had we won yesterday we would probably be preparing for Villanova in Brooklyn.

Good luck MT!

I'm aware, just ribbing a bit after completing the customary 24 hours of "humble in defeat".

It's still always doable. We beat #9 overall Iowa State last year and we had our 2nd worst shooting game of the season. Just gotta hope Michigan State chokes a bit 03-razz

The upside is, if you can find way to beat the team that a lot of people are picking to win it all, you guys will be instantly famous. Even if it's the only game you win in the Tourney, your school will be on every sports network in the country. You can't buy that kind of publicity.

GO MT!

Surprising as it is to say, I like our matchups with MSU's players. We've got a highly underrated group of players and I think we'll be able to at least stay close with them. Needless to say beating MSU would be the biggest win in school history. We have a slight chance to do it. The odds are a bit better than they used to be since three 15 seeds have beaten 2 seeds in the last 4 years... Haha, who am I kidding we'll probably lose by 20 but whatever because I. HAVE. HOPE!

I figured 14 and that alone s an embaresment to how bad we have become. We have got to improve in basketball.

Good luck MTSU... Gonna need it real bad.

Agree 100%!

CUSA has a long history of great hoops and it's gone completely into the toilet.

RE: MT - Michigan St in St Louis
If we had beaten VCU at our place or South Dakota State on the road, this #15 wouldn't have happened.

So MT is as much to blame as anyone.

That loss at Georgia State didn't help, either.

I hope our players believe they can win.

I remember once upon a time when we faced the mighty KY Wildcats in a first round game.............No one gave us a shot. I mean no one.

Technically, that means they view Middle as the weakest 15th seed. Just as the #1 overall seed gets the weakest 16, the strongest 2 gets the weakest 15.

Sad day for cusa basketball, but deserved based on our OOC performance this year. Only have ourselves to blame.

I consider Michigan State and Izzo the best performing tournament team year in and year out. A win against them would be an epic accomplishment.

According to the seed listing, we're the best 15 seed. Doesn't make sense that they would place the best 15th seed with the best 2nd seed.

Wouldn't matter if the muts played the weakest 2 seed...still won't win...just not good enough to win against a top 10 team

Losing seems to be the tradition at North Texas so I take your word for it
