Ah, thanks! I figured he'd updated Temple's status after their loss.

My opinion still stands though: when it's close, they're going to weigh head-to-heads more heavily.

I don't think there's any question that UC is in, just a question of whether they'll be forced into the play-in games.

Hell, some of the play-in game scenarios would probably be much more favorable than 7/10.

Updated. Temple last 4 in. UC still at a bye I guess since they are not mentioned.

it would also justify cheating...so the coach can't coach for x games; if your record during that stretch is bad, don't worry, we'll throw it out!

Weren't they on some losing streak coming into the ACC tournament as well?

Yeah, Lunardi just updated the website.

Cincinnati remains the last bye. So there's one slot in between Temple and Cincinnati right now.

He has UC playing Baylor with the winner likely getting Kentucky. Yuck. I think Baylor would be a terrible matchup for UC.

Every expert has us comfortably in but every year there's a team that no one imagined could be left out that misses. Given how cursed this season feels with not one but two 3/4 court + shots being made I won't be comfortable until I see our name

On the bright side, we have one less* hour to wait until we can analyze the bracket. 02-13-banana

Oregon is making a huge argument for a #1 seed.

Cincinnati Rankings

RPI - 44
BPI - 27
KPI - 40
Kenpom - 32

143/4 = 36 + 5 (each power conference gets +1) puts UC at 41.

NCAA Dance Card has the bubble bursting at 46 teams, last non Dayton bye that Lunardi is using seems a fair estimate. 10 seed somewhere is my best guess.

I'd take a 10 seed I guess. I know we can beat the 7. I also think we can hang with a 2. Maybe I'm just a homer. I don't know.

I'm hoping for a 10 seed too.

The 2006 team is always in the back of my mind. A HUGE majority of prognosticators had that team in.

This team is similar because it has injuries to, as Flying Bearcat said earlier. The difference now is that Cobb is back, and although Shaq is still injured, Shaq is not as huge of a piece to the puzzle that Kirkland was then.

I tend to think we are not only in, but we bypass the play-in as well. But, I've been surprised before.

Yup. A team that won their conference. My guess is they get the nod ahead of us.

SDSU's conference is not NEARLY as tough as ours. Not even close. If SDSU's MWC championship is the deciding factor, than that's a joke.

Their resume is very close to ours. I think the biggest difference is performance vs. the top 50 and 100. We are significantly better in both. Even bias aside, I see us as ahead of the Aztecs (with all due respect to them, I really like that program and what Fischer has done for it).

No, but everyone who enjoys watching Memphis fans self-destruct is.

I don't see us as "out", but we very well could be in Dayton if Memphis wins.

Yes. If you pay attention to Lunardi (it's obvious rtaylor doesn't 03-lmfao ) we and Yale are the two #11's without a bye, as things stand.

Lunardi's latest bracket has UC vs. Seton Hall, with the winner presumably getting Kentucky. If you make it to the Sweet 16? Hello, Oklahoma!

Thanks, Joe!

Edit: Also, he has Temple and Cincinnati back-to-back, with UC getting the last bye.
