RE: ECU @ Rice Game 1
ECU gets only one run after having runners on the corners with no outs. If only we had any offense whatsoever this game would still be winnable.

Both ECU runs came after Big Jon walked the leadoff batter. Instant death.

RE: ECU @ Rice Game 1
Wunderlich walked with one out, followed by a double by Chandler....but we hold Dayne at 3B. I'm not sure how smart a decision that was given we now have the bottom of the order up (and Dayne is our fastest runner). Teykl cannot bunt, and is very weak against LHP, and Hunter is 0 for the season, with no RBIs.

We simply MUST get at least one run out of this. (BTW, the one out was a liner to SS by Proctor.)

Chandler benefits from the RFer's stumble, credited with a double. Runners 2nd, 3rd with 1 out. Teykl AB.

Wunderlich would have been out by a mile. It was the right decision.

Shallow pop fly by Tekyl. Now 2 outs. Up to Hunter now.

And out lack of bunting skills cost us a run there. Hunter has been hopeless so far this season.

And Hunter flies out to end the inning. This offense is beyond pathetic at this point.

Hunter is still at .000 on the season. Catcher and first base are total black holes in our (already weak) lineup.

RE: ECU @ Rice Game 1
Jon gives up a two-out, pinch hit double, but strikes out the next batter KKKKKKKKK to escape unscathed.

I know it's only the 6th inning, but given how weak, unproductive and inefficient our offense is at the moment, if we get a leadoff baserunner, we have to play small ball and try to cut the lead to one. I can't see us score multiple runs in any inning without a bit of help and luck.

Warren ground out to SS.
Lewis seeing eye single though the hole. Runner on 1B, one out.
Myers first pitch fly out. That was quick.
DiCaprio infield single. Runners on 1B and 2B, two outs. Can we get a clutch hit?
Jeffries pinch running for DiCaprio...??? I don't get this move, given 2 outs already...
Proctor ground out to 2B.

Still trail 0-2 heading to the top of the seventh inning, and quickly running out of time.

Lead off HBP by Jon. The last two leadoff free passes scored. In fact, I believe 8 of the 9 runs Jon has allowed this year came on free passes with no one out. Now a lined single. Runners on 1B and 2B and the top of the order due up. Here we go again. Want to bet ECU executes the sac bunt?

Apparently they can wait on an offspeed pitch--line single now has men on 1st and 2nd with no outs. Then the little league shows up, with bad pickoff throw to 2nd moving the men over.
