Not liking their chances to win the MAC tourney?

I do agree the Vegas 16 seems more appealing than the CBI or CIT.

I don't have a link, but just heard CMU will be hosting a first-round game in the CIT. Of course, if we play like we have the past two games..03-banghead

RE: CIT
I'm curious at the CIT stacking up this early.

A lot of #1's are losing conference tournaments. That means the NIT is going to be very full and there will be teams like Ohio/Buffalo who may not make the NIT if Akron wins the conference.

Have the surrendered the role of "3rd tournament" to the CBI?

RE: CIT
CBI is likely to have a number of bigger conference schools, given how few NIT bids are out there.

RE: CIT
So the CIT only has 26 teams. Curious how they're going to play this out, unless they plan on announcing 6 more teams today after the Vegas 16 announces its field.

My guess is some teams who have been invited would prefer to play in Vegas over the CIT and are making the CIT wait to see who is invited to Vegas, and then the leftovers will scramble for the remaining CIT spots. They need 32 teams unless they're going to start handing out byes after each round--that would be a disaster for that tournament (the NCAA continually making stupid decisions for the national championship is plenty enough).

The CIT will have a full field--just have to wait until about noon today. Question is who else from the MAC might be in--Northern? EMU? Does Toledo somehow sneak in (especially if they're willing to pay for the home game)? Kent has taken themselves out of the running for post-season play due to injuries.

Ball State trailed 20-3 about 11 minutes into the game and scored 14 first-half points but managed to pull the game out in double overtime.

Ugly as it was, I've never been unhappy with an ugly win. I'll take it.
