This BG loss and missing Cleveland 2 out of last 3 years has really got me thinking about our hoops program and what appears to be a general disregard for ANY level of resources. This along with baseball and both golf teams have to be our crown jewel programs. I don't know enough about the inter workings of the budget and things but it appears golf and baseball have had some big donors that have allowed for them to get things done facility wise.

Does this apparent disregard fall all on Joel or is it a decision made at higher levels. Someone mentioned Joel's seat being hot? I'm not connected enough to know if any truth to that??

For those in the know how does all this work and who do we blame for lack of hoops $$$$$

I doubt basketball would do Nielsen in. He has two other issues that might. As with any high level person when a new boss comes in they might not get along. I don't know if Warren and Nielsen get along but if he survives this year he probably is over that hurdle. The second is the softball issue discussed in another thread. If there is hard evidence of a cover-up he will be gone from Kent. That will take awhile to shake out.

I think the cover up will do him in. She will have cause. She will look for an AD that has experience with promoting basketball. Not a D4 punter who wants to relive his glory days
