MyBB Neat story...
So it's 8:45am and I'm sitting here on press row in a mostly empty Legacy Arena. Marshall is practicing and Dan D'Antoni is sitting about 5 feet in front of me watching the practice and talking to some guy. Chris Duhon seemingly runs their practices from start to finish (prob. just open press ones).

I'm not meaning to listen in on Dan's conversation but I can't help myself. He starts talking about the other teams in the conference and mentions a player or two from each team. The topic moves to UAB and I find myself shocked about what he says next. He said emphatically to this guy that in both games with out a doubt Dirk Williams was the best player on the court. He went on to talk about his physical attributes and how he thinks he could be the best player in CUSA next year. That's pretty cool coming from a guy who used to share a bench with Shaq and other greats.

Hope to see you all at some games today. Go Blazers!

Thanks in advance.

Dirk is incredibly athletic. He does things at just an incredible level. He can jump out of the gym.

Solid bball man crush on Dirk here. I'm hoping he transitions into the Robert Brown role next season.

Love watching him play...great outside shot and a smooth finisher.

Plus, screaming "DIRK!!" is super fun.

He'll be getting Robert Brown's minutes next season. Watching him come off the bench for 16 or 17 points has been a lot of fun.

RE: Neat story...
I've said this before on here, but I'll repeat it.

Dirk reminds me of Carlos Williams. Dirk is a little sloppier with the ball at times, but he has Carlos' build and athleticism.

I really like that comparison.
