RE: ICYMI: Last Night's Coach Pastner Radio Show
Problems with the program aside, it just sounded like a fun night, so let's give them that. The players were happy, huge crowd, great atmosphere. What the hell. Fans are THAT uptight with hatred they can't see the night for what it was?

Really? Really? What, you don't like hearing the players talk about the season? I thought that was awesome. Glad to have heard it.
Sheesh.
Because talking positive stuff is what gets them playing time. Good Attitude and all that jazz.
At least they want to play. I guess that's good.

Hatred isn't the issue for many of us. Our reactions are more akin to sadness--sadness that our players were part and parcel to such a difficult season in many ways that didn't involve them.
Players are not immune to the dynamics around them. In addition to media and lack of fan support, there's the fact that they were not given much of a chance to succeed as individuals or a team.
To be a team they needed to play together as a team. Changing the rotation like its dirty underwear and benching players as an attitude adjustment makes it almost impossible to achieve team status.
I'm glad they were having fun, though, and will take everyone else's word for that assessment.

I doubt anyone was more positive than Nick King. There's just no logic to it. Any time you try to make sense of it, you just come away more dazed and confused.

Here's how you make sense of it: he and his family wanted him to play the 3; he can't play the 3 and even Josh figured that out. They were upset over that and PT to a lesser extent.
Just compare his ball handling, passing and shooting skills to our current 3 Burrell. Not close.

The excitement of Tiger Basketball has been sucked dry and the program run completely into the ground. To those hanging on to any hope under this coach.. God please bless 'em... That is all.

I'm sure Pastner's glad he finally found someone who agrees with him on player evaluation and development. Kinda think the former NBA COY he has now disagrees doe.
