App and UNCA is 4 PM ET in Forest City, NC. They have a very-nice park used for summer wood-bat league, but no one will be there because it's 4 PM on a Wednesday in the middle of nowhere.

Cajuns lose a road midweek game again to Tulane after kicking the ball around a bit. We're playing five new fielders but that isn't an excuse for making basic errors in the field and on the bases. Losing your best hitter for a month doesn't help, but that's no excuse for what is happening. Hopefully they will settle down to start conference this weekend in Troy.

Northern Louisiana is having horrible, major flooding. Looks like ULM is coming to TXST for the weekend series. I assume ULM will be the home team.

I've seen that happen a few times at the big league level.

Didn't it happen last year with the Dodgers? That seems right but I can't remember the other team. Doesn't matter I guess since I no longer acknowledge MLB.

App beat UNCA 8-0 in Forest City. Breydan Gorham, freshman pitcher, had another fantastic start and finally got a win with the offense coming alive.

Georgia State's weekend series against Lafayette (the Patriot League one) has been cancelled due to a stomach bug outbreak at Lafayette.

We had to play UTA in Jackson, MS, and nearly had to move a home series with Georgia State because of a similar reason.

Weather at this time of year in this part of the country is just not conducive to baseball. Feel bad for ULM losing a home series like this.

This reminds me of Ronnie Arrow's South Alabama teams a few years ago. The first 2 years the basketball tournament was in Hot Springs our team got sick from the food in Hot Springs. The third year we brought our own food.

Sounds like norovirus.

In the lab I manage, we've seen a huge uptick in norovirus the last three years. Quite virulent.
