I'm pleasantly surprised that a JMU fan hasn't mentioned how bad his defenses are on this thread yet.

Coach Withers is a good guy. I finished App the same year that he did.

Withers' JMU teams had strong classroom performance. No one can knock him there. He also runs a tight ship in regards to discipline.

I met Withers at the Cats Caravan event in Houston this week. Great guy and very approachable. Can't wait to see where we are at in a couple years.

We've been following the videos and the hype and really falling for it all; as are, apparently, the players. As this article states, whether we improve immensely, or not, things have changed for the better; even if it takes a couple years to pan out.

Yup, I wholeheartedly agree. This is a much needed change of culture. Prior to Withers, it felt like the only people that cared about this program were the fans.
Now, it's clear that the Coaches, from the top on down, are committed to seeing this program grow, improve, win, and "Par-tay in the End Zone." Yeah, Baby . . .
