March 7 Bracket Update
Not looking great for the American as of this morning.

Palm at CBS has Temple as an 11 and on the bubble. UConn, Tulsa and UC all as the last 4 in and all at 11 and in play in games. Tulsa playing UConn in the east and UC playing Vandy in the west.

Lunardi has Temple as an 11, UC (4th of the last 4 byes) as an 11 and UConn (1st on the last 4 in) as an 11 in the play in game vs Oregon St. Tulsa is 2nd of the first 4 out.

This is a pretty good tool to measure teams head to head. I plugged in Temple and St Bonaventure but you can change it to any combo.

UC up to #40 in the RPI as of today. That helps.

At 11th seeding, every AAC team will be underdogs in the first game. Hopefully they can pick up a win or more and possibly get out of the first weekend. Once that happens, anything is possible.

And the fact that if you compare his projections to today and yesterday, you can see that he did not even move UC one bit when it comes to location in the tournament, last team that gets out of the First Four. This is despite the fact that UC beat a top 25 rpi team yesterday afternoon. He is a fraud.

Does that go for the play in game as well? I could literally see 3 AAC teams being involved play in games as the bubble is so tight for us....and gets worse every time a ranked schools gets upset in a one-bid league.

UC played UConn in the round of 32 the last time UConn won the tourney. The NCAA got rid of that rule of keeping teams away until the sweet 16.

I think you're incorrect regarding Dayton.

The committee is allowed to deviate from the scheduling principles for the first four teams. They could if they want to have more than one AAC team sent to Dayton.

Actually, they never met in 2014 although the possibility existed had Cincy made the Elite 8.

They did meet in 2011 but the Big East put 11 teams in the field. They could have tried to delay it until the Sweet 16 but the fact is the teams had to fit somewhere and you can only change seeding requirements so much, especially in an upward direction (i.e. the committee would frown on moving a 2 seed down to a 3 just to make sure certain conferences don't meet in a certain timeframe).

RE: March 7 Bracket Update
The AAC could hypothetically and heck, faintly realistically, fill the entire at large First Four with its teams.

Was up old man, things are looking up for this league that lacks tradition and respect as a group.
