Texas and Florida draw ok, but basketball is not a big deal at either campus. Florida had one sellout all year. Texas had four despite being ranked (they sold out UNC, Baylor, OU, and Kansas). UT had 8 games with over 5,000 seats empty and that's "announced" crowds.
No it isn't. 16,540 is a sellout at the Drum. 5,000 empty seats is 11,500 in tickets sold. That's not all that good when you're a top 25 teams with 50,000 students in a metro area of 1.6 million and ZERO professional sports to compete against.
Texas was 34th in attendance in 2015. That would place the Longhorns in 12th place in attendance in the Big Ten. 6th in the ACC. 5th in the SEC. 4th in the Mountain West. 3rd in the Pac 12. 3rd in the Big East. And second in the AAC, A-Ten, and West Coast Conference.

Exactly. Just ignore them. They are still bitter that all their buddies bailed the Big east for power conferences, and left them behind. Maybe they can start a conference with just UC and Uconn and play each other 20 times a year.

Amazing that one of "the little people" beat your sorry asses 4 times this year. And do we need to talk about football ?
Coogs and Owls own this conference.
How adorable. A Temple fan talking smack to UCONN and Cincy fans.
The only school, and I do mean the only school, in this conference to win hardware is UCONN! If you're nice to us, we'll let you hold our National Championship trophy!

I think given the status of CFB and what our legitimate expectations are you can add UCF and houston to the teams who have hardware.

Not that kind of hardware. I'm talking National titles here.

Which is why I said given the state of what can be done in CFB today. If UConn goes 13-0 in the American they still won't even have the opportunity to win a national championship.. So you have to say getting a NY6 trophy counts as actually accomplishing something.
Even if houston hadnt dropped the game vs UConn this season, the highest we could have gone was the peach bowl and we did, so therefore we have a legitimate trophy, we accomplished the best prize possible for the AAC.
Next season our ceiling is higher, but if a different AAC team ends up in a NY6 bowl game I'd have to say if they come home with a trophy they have a legit accomplishment.
