A nice gesture by a classy lady
When Ball State players Nathalie Fontaine and Shelby Merder walked into the locker room at Centennial Hall (I'm old) for their last time Saturday, they found bouquets of flowers waiting for them. The flowers had been sent by Tricia Cullop and attached was a note congratulating them for their successful careers at Ball State and wishing them the best for whatever the future holds for them. That was a much appreciated and unexpected gesture for the young ladies. Toledo fans should be proud of Tricia. She is a classy lady as well as a good coach. I always pull for her team when they are playing anybody but Ball State.

Coach Cullop took my daughter, who has autism, under her wing a few years back. After a chance meeting she invited her down to meet the team before a game and the relationship grew. Apart from her family Coach Cullop has been the single biggest influence on my daughter. She is an amazing woman in every respect. If she goes 0-30 I'll support her 100% because of what she means to this community. Wellll....89%. 03-wink

She is definitely a classy lady. Thanks for your kind words and for sharing this with us. We are very happy to have such a great woman as our coach. I know lots of schools with great coaches who aren't very good people. We hit the jackpot I think.
