I think WKU is playing as good as anybody right now, but it's wide open to be truthful

why wouldn't he want UAB? Western has played UAB better than any other team in the conference over two games. One basically dominated by Western and one going down to a missed wide open 3 point shot from maybe a Western win or OT,,,or loss. That last one played in a sold out arena.

So yeah I could see Ben saying that. Especially how the tourney game ended last year. Hell 12pm on a Thursday...UAB will be luck to have 2k there.

Lets be honest Western might be the 8th seed team but Western can point to 6 games that we loss in the last minute or so...after leading. I personally was hoping for a Western win and Rice or FIU to lose so Western was in UAB's side

Western is in UAB's side. If y'all beat UNT, you're playing UAB! And that's a good match-up. MT has Marshall, which is good for us. Now only if this was in Nashville... :(

I love it! It's a psychlogical game until the ball is tipped...then it's psychological and physical... I love WKU's coach's bravado.. Why not say on record, "I think we can beat you." If none of us think as WKU does, then let's just give he title to UAB... I'm not ready to do that.

all players want to beat the best and this year UAB s just that. Plus a few of these players are still hurt the way last season ended. By UAB.

That's fans logic. Personally, I gotz no problem with it. To be the best you got to beat the best. UAB is the target and personally our team shouldn't want it any other way.

Of the teams that were vying for the 7-10 spots, WKU is the team I didn't want to see. You guys definitely provide some matchup problems. Not to mention how the conference screwed us over with the noon tipoff.

If you asked me to chart our most difficult path to the championship, I probably would've said WKU, La Tech, Marshall/MTSU and that's what we've got. If we win, we will have earned it.

Might be completely wrong on this, but last year La. Tech supposedly complained that they were the 1 seed and had a shorter rest period in between their Thursday and Friday game than the host team UAB. So this year they gave the 1 seed the most rest possible in between games, but honestly screwed the attendance by having the host team play at noon and then early Friday afternoon (assuming UAB advances). Won't be surprised if Thursdays attendance kind of sucks.

Either way it's total BS. The host school has always received the prime time slot to draw the biggest crowd. That's the way it has ALWAYS been. Also, why the hell was La Tech playing at 8:30 PM last year for their first game and not 12:00 PM like we are this year? UAB playing at 6 had no impact on that.

Yesterday the top 4 teams were nearly, or in the case of La Tech actually were, beaten by teams that finished between 8-13 in the league. Two of those games went to OT and the other two essentially came down to a final play.

Next week if all of the higher seeds (ODU, UTEP, Charlotte, WKU) win on Wednesday, then all of the top 4 teams will be facing a team they lost to in the regular season, with one exception. MTSU beat Charlotte by 1 point in their only meeting.

This tournament is wide open.

The C-USA Tournament has never been within 500 miles of Huntington. Chew on that for a bit.

The game slots were announced long ago. You're getting the rest advantage verses the crowd advantage. Since you're already playing in your home city, I would think you would prefer the rest time.

Complain to the city of Huntington or whatever major metropolis is located in the state of West Va for never bidding on nor hosting a C-USA Tournament. The tournament wasn't something that was a reward or a gift to UAB. It came with a price tag.

Honestly not a big fan of what Big Ben said. I understand what he means, but leaving that in the locker room would have been the best thing to do, imo. Plus, round 1 has to be dealt with, and with this group, you never know what will happen.
