There used to be a MAC Media Association and all the members of it were eligible to vote on the awards. Elton essentially headed up a coup that killed the Association and you essentially need his blessing to get a vote.

I thought each school picked the media they wanted to vote. ... This guy in Cleveland tells everybody how to vote??? Doe he count the ballots. Who's in charge of this.???

RE: Post-Season Awards
Why? They can use any criteria they want. Stats are stats. If one team had a tougher OOC schedule and had a guy score 25 points in a game against Duke, and another played a crap schedule they can choose the player who did better OOC vs in conference. In conference play, teams study you more and find your tendencies. Personally I think Boothe plays better agaisnt teams who havent seen him, or know his moves. Freshman stats dont have to be only in conference.

RE: Post-Season Awards
I think Fowler got in more from reputation than performance this year, but his appearance on the first team is not egregious.

Also, how about that all-freshman team? There's some real talent in the 2015 class.

Add in KSU's Jaylin Walker whose injury kept him from a good chunk of the season and a shot at this team. He may be the Flashes' second best player next season.

I am actually really impressed with the Honorable Mention group of five. I would suit those guys up against anyone in the league.

Why dont they do PG G G F F on each team. The first team has 2 centers. The 3rd team has 2 point guards. Seems weird. Football goes by position.

I gotta say I was holding my tongue when most of the lists in this thread only had one Zips player(Johnson) on any of the teams. Usually the #1 team has a few good players and guess today is the proof.

Zips are always so balanced scoring that it's pretty difficult to pick players for all conference. It's the same reason I didn't include any UB players on my 1st/2nd teams this year. Bearden and Hamilton were great but scoring is just spread out too much across the team.

He is third in the conference in scoring.

You didn't know that being 3rd in the league in scoring is not that good?
