If you believe that is a real problem than you are stupid enough to think games being downtown and games being on HD is why attendance gas tanked.
I do indeed believe that competition from the Grizzlies, coupled with the fact that significant numbers of season tickets sold in the past were to corporations and non-alumni individuals with no particular loyalty to UofM is a "real" problem. For that matter, I think playing downtown and the ease, economy and convenience of watching on HDTV contribute to some degree. I leave it for others to decide who is stupid.
You're making that decision very easy...
I'm sure my words are heresy to all of you who keep your noses up the Grizzlies ass.
Supporting the Grizzlies is not mutually exclusive to supporting the Tigers.
All you support is football and baseball so who is the true "fair weather fan."

I do indeed believe that competition from the Grizzlies, coupled with the fact that significant numbers of season tickets sold in the past were to corporations and non-alumni individuals with no particular loyalty to UofM is a "real" problem - never said it was the main problem. For that matter, I do also think playing downtown and the ease, economy and convenience of watching on HDTV contribute to some degree. Losing is certainly a major problem, especially for those who love winning more than they love the university. I leave it for others to decide who is stupid.

(Yes, I know duct tape did not exist then but I think you get the point)

When the Tigers were winning they filled the Forum....even when the Grizz were here. This isn't rocket science.

RE: Serious question about non-renewal of season tickets
I've had season tickets since 2010-2011 in the club section, but will not renew this upcoming season if Pastner remains. First, I want show in some small way that I don't support the direction the program is headed. Secondly, with donation I currently pay about $100 average per game. I'm certain next season if Pastner is still there I can find good seats for much, much cheaper. I want to have season tickets, and it pains me not to renew. So once there is a competent coach leading our program again I will 100% renew.

RE: Serious question about non-renewal of season tickets
If Pastner returns I am not renewing my Basketball season tickets. Once I get use to not paying all that money ($2500), I will probably not come back as season tickets. I will just buy single game tickets for the ones I think will be exciting. My question is now: my priority points is based on donations and consecutive season tickets. I am curious how that will affect my priority to other Tiger events. Does anyone know how that works? I may have to buy 1 very cheap season ticket to keep priority.

I dropped before this season. Had tickets since the Pyramid opened in '91. Probably won't renew no matter what. I've found that I can put that money to better use.

this will happen for more people than they will like/be expecting. I am doing to same thing for next year (whether he's back or not. multiple reasons) and the odds of me ever starting back will be pretty slim.
Plus football has already raised prices to almost eat up the full savings I was going to have from dropping basketball, lol.

This is a very good question. We are discussing what to do with our multiple lower bowl tickets but we may drop to the lowest level of TSF giving if we can keep our priority points.
We haven't made any decisions yet but are talking about it now.

RE: Serious question about non-renewal of season tickets
I didn't renew this year for the first time since 2000. I will be back once Pastner is gone....but maybe not at the level I had before. It's a different story if we get an invite to the B12.

I'm in the same boat. We were able to upgrade for this past year and move from the baseline more towards center court because apparently someone there didn't renew. The entire row to the right of me are all fedex seats. Someone different is in those 4 seats every game. The people to my left own a local restaurant and have about 7 or 8 and come to just about every game. Sorry to disappoint GA but the corporations are not the problem. But he has his anti Grizz agenda which is in reality an anti hoops agenda
