RE: ESPN: Is this Pitino last home game at Louisville
"I'll ask myself after the season if Louisville is a better place with Rick Pitino as coach, and if the answer is yes, I'll do what I've done for 15 years and come back and fight for a championship, and that's what I plan on doing. But if the time comes that I feel Louisville is better off without me, I'm without ego now." -- Rick Pitino

I believe him. Pitino has done so much as so many different places that he truly has nothing to prove to anybody. I have no idea if he was involved in any wrong-doing, but I assume the school will make that determination. Ultimately, he's pretty close to retirement age anyway...

I honestly think he wants to stick it out at least as long as Boehiem and Coach K.

I can't see Him leaving on these conditions. He will prove His innocence in time and do that in Louisville.

Even Today another article about Someone mentioned in Katina's book has shown another Made up date on things and She is now getting sued by that Barbershop owner.

Yes, but when CEO's are asked to step down in the business world or be fired, they often do and say what Pitino is saying. It allows them to save face. 07-coffee3

Pitino was close to retiring a few years ago. After Louisville lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament against Morehead State following the 2011 season, he went on air as a studio analyst for the rest of the tournament. He considered doing it full time.

He says the exact same thing every year, this isn't something new. Every season the same questions come up.... "Are you going to retire?", "Is this it?". And every year he has the same response, that he plans to take some time off to reflect, take a vacation, and ask himself is he still having fun coaching? He's always said that when the day comes that the answer to that question is "No", then he'll retire.

I'm not too concerned. He even admitted he says the same thing every year and it gets misinterpreted a hundred different ways each time.

It's a bit different this go around than previous years.

He'll be back if they let him come back. I say he's here for another season or two.

If Louisville will have him, he'll be back. He'll leave on a good note and Louisville deserves as much.
