I don't think he will do either...nor do we need too. We all know what needs to be done. STOP giving illegals stuff and STOP hiring illegals. Allow vetted guest workers but they have to make it totally on their own. No handouts. Return to the decades old paradigm when we had migrant workers. We also need to address the "anchor baby" issue. Incentivize workers to come here as guests....Disincentivize them from bringing the family with them.

One way to cut down on illegal immigration is to find a way to better enforce existing laws, and actually force employers to stop hiring illegal immigrants for under the table pay, or below minimum wage pay. While some illegals do get letter paying jobs, the vast majority are taking jobs where they are taken advantage of paid less than minimum wage, which obviously most if not all American citizens (of any nationality) otherwise would not accept (and rightfully so). That,more than anything else would decentivise a vast majority of people who come here illegally. No job, little point in coming for many (not all, but large numbers). They come here because they can make money with or without papers. Not all would stop, but it would slow down the floodgates.

Then again the people and parties that most gripes about illegal immigration would by and large be he ones hurt most by this, which is why the whole thing is a hollow promise.
