Individual scoring (page 13). The MAC is not a senior-laden conference this year. Only two of the top 10 scorers are seniors.

MAC will be GOOD next season.

My site had a 9 point underdog.

Sounds about right. I don't have a good feeling about this one. Trying to remember the last time we didn't get beat soundly in Toledo. 2012/2013 maybe? Last two years have been pretty ugly though, as was Murphy's first year. Tough place to win.

Interesting point, Steve. I think EMU79 brought up a sinilar point, we were expecting a down MAC year, but a lot of young players have really stepped up across the league. Including for EMU with Thompson. Maybe that is the way college athletics always work.

It's crazy to look at the MAC standings.

Akron leads
then 2 games behind
SECOND seed
then 2 games behind
NINTH seed

The only thing separating the 2 seed and the ninth seed is a couple lucky bounces here or there (I'm not bringing up the Ball St game the refs robbed from EMU). Too bad EMU was not on the lucky end of those things. They played competitively in most games. @WMU, @Ohio, and @Ball St bring exceptions.

I hear what you are saying logically speaking. BUT I have a good feeling about this one. The second half of the second half of the NIU game should have cued the team in on the value of defensive intensity. @toledo is slot tougher than VsNorthern Illinois, but I am expecting this to be at least a close one.

I'll gloat about being right after the win.

I wish we had next year's team this year.

Instead of trying to get a first round home game, we'd probably get a first round bye.

Hoping that the WEMU broadcast syncs up with the game on DirecTV.

My experience that WEMU and telecasts (via DirecTV) sync up well (say within a couple seconds). This game is being done by a Toledo channel.

The WEMU is usually about 90 seconds ahead of the ESPN3 webcasts. That is extremely difficult.

Looks like we got the good Raven Lee tonight. He's been tremendous so far.

We need some guys from the Houston Phi Slama Jamma team to help us on our 3 - 1 break.

We really have too much trouble finishing these breaks.

That was an example of one of the times I want Raven to be selfish. He should take that to the rack.

The problem with watching these games on ESPN3 is all the times I have to watch that Nivea Men's cream comercial.

Timmy has to have at least 5 steals right now. Seems like it's every other play.

Garbage call on the 3 on 1 for us. Also, Boothe should have 3 fouls but the refs graciously gave one to the guy not near the play.

Yeah the foul was clearly on Boothe. That was BS. Toney needs to give that ball back to Bond on the break and not force it up. Third time we haven't scored on a 3-on-1 break tonight. Unacceptable and a waste of great defense from Timmy/Nobles.

Not a bad half. Got kinda duped at the end there with a couple quick threes and a BS and-one for Boothe where Thompson had his hands straight up in the air. We are definitely in this game though. Should be a good 2nd half.
